Before You Go Back to School...

          Hey!

So... I was trying to come up with a smart and creative title for this post... but, Before You Go Back to School is a straight up kind of title... But anyway, today I will tell you guys what I recommend doing the night before the first day of school and the morning of. Let's begin!

 Before Bed...

I really recommend showering before you go to bed. First of all it saves you more time in the morning and you don't have to wake up earlier. You can save more time for your beauty sleep! And second of all, if you shower in the morning, there might be a chance that you don't have time to blow dry your hair or it doesn't air dry in time. If your hair gets oily really fast, like literally the day after you shower, just get some dry shampoo and spray some into the roots for oil-free hair! But if you prefer showering and washing your hair in the morning, by all means you can do it. There is an advantage of showering in the morning and I will tell you guys in the next paragraph!

Plan out what you're going to wear for the next day. Of course, it saves you more time to get some more beauty sleep. And if you're in a rush, your room won't get messy. That is definitely a plus; a clean room is like heaven for me. If you want to de-wrinkle your clothes, here is a trick! This is the advantage of showering in the morning: hang your clothes in the bathroom (obviously away from the shower unless you want wet clothes). Then just carry on with your showering routine. Once you're done, the steam from the water will help de-wrinkle your clothes! Of course it's not as effective as actually ironing it, but it does help.

Pack your backpack the night before too. Have a checklist ready and as you put an item from your list in your backpack, check that item off. That way you won't forget anything and you're sure you have everything you need for the next day.

The Morning of...

After you've gotten your beauty sleep, it's finally time to wake up and get out of your warm, comfy bed. Ugh, that's SO hard to do, isn't it? But yes, eventually you have to... We ALL have to. Don't worry though because of your beauty sleep, you have loads of energy to get you pumped for the entire day!

Brush your teeth so that you don't spend the entire morning getting ready with morning breath -_-. Brush brush brush! And then you know, carry on with your skin care routine. After, if you wear makeup, then you can go do your makeup. Then you can change into your outfit! I recommend putting on your outfit before doing your hair because if you do your hair before putting on clothes, you might have a chance of ruining your hair... we don't want that now do we? NO. So change into your clothes before! Then NOW you can put your hair in whatever style you want! After you can go eat your hearty, nutritious breakfast. Pack your lunch into your backpack double check if you forgot to do anything that morning, and head on off to school!

When you get to school, the number one thing you cannot forget is to be yourself! If you see a friend of yours, go talk to them and ask them how their summer was. Also, go talk to some of your new classmates and get to know them. Make new friends.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this day's post! Have fun on your first day of school!

M-L's August Favorites of 2014

          Hello everyone!

Even though we are still technically in August, I wanted to share with you guys what my favourites were for the month! And besides, there's really only like, three days until we go into September so why not do it now? Better early than on time, and better late than never... =P. Let's get into it!!!!!

  • I am going to start off with this new dry shampoo that I bought at Walmart. It's the Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo. I have it in the citrus scent. It's works pretty well, but that's the only dry shampoo that I've used since I actually started "owning" dry shampoo so I can't really compare it to the other brands out there. It's works pretty well so far and the scent smells pretty good and refreshing. I think it comes with a lot of product and it's pretty affordable too.

  • I've been using the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner. I don't particularly like the scent, I mean it smells decent, but I like shampoos and conditioners that smell sweet or fruity or refreshing. But it works well and I like it. It leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny but not greasy. I like it, but I just wish that the scent was different. Other than that though, it's definitely a thumbs up.
  • The Tropicana Orange Juice is so refreshing and citrus-y and orange-y! My mom bought the 4 pack in a box from Costco on Tuesday and let me tell you that our whole top shelf in my family's fridge is our orange juice cartons. The particular one we have doesn't have pulp. I'm the kind of person that doesn't mind whether it has pulp or not but my family kind of makes a big deal out of it... LOL... JK. Oh and can I just say that the day we bought this, we finished one carton already. We're up to about two and a half now!
  • The Victoria's Secret's lotion in Enchanted Apple smells SOOO good! It's light, and fruity, and it doesn't have such a strong scent that sometimes leave you with a headache. But it's not light enough that the scent fades away the same day you slather it on. I like it a lot. Although I do have quite a number of lotions and I'm trying to use them up, so I stopped using that lotion a couple days ago to get rid of my other lotions. I have about... half of it left? I think..? Though I'm thinking of repurchasing this...
  • I've had this blanket for about...5 or 6 or 7 years now and I still have it. It's in good condition, it doesn't shrink in the dryer, it's like I just bought it even though I've had it for more than five years. Actually, when my sister and my dad went to Vietnam, they bought that blanket for me and they bought quite a few for themselves and the family. And they bought this pillow that looks like a... log? But I'll talk about that log pillow later. Anyway, I still use them and it's still terrific for all four seasons. It's not such a thick blanket, but it's not too thin either. It's good to sleep with during the summer because it's thin enough. But when it's winter or cold, I use this blanket as a layer to my actual comforter. It's so versatile and I just love it. It was still hot at the beginning of August so I used that. Now it's actually colder (and it's actually raining right now as I type, just want to let you know =) ), I sleep in a comforter and I use the blanket as a layer. The size is pretty big, but I have the smallest size. So in the picture I have, my blanket is folded in half. I have the matching regular pillow case but I also have the matching "log pillow" too. But I don't have the comforter sheet. It's my all time favourite blanket and it's blue too!

  • The Ice Breakers Frost Mints... they work so well and they're delicious! They leave my mouth feeling so refreshed and not exactly clean, but pretty clean and excellent. I think that this will be my go-to mint brand. It's so... so... wow... I can't even explain it. Just the Ice Breakers brand in general, their mint flavour selections and gums are very good. But even though I like their gum, I prefer the Gum Five more. Still, their mints are to die for and I really care about having good smelling breath, and I have like, five packs of mints and gum in my backpack right now because I am just that crazy. XD

So those were my favourites of this month! I hope you enjoyed it! Just a quick reminder that I will start school soon (4 days for me, oh my gosh!) so I may not publish posts that frequently. And when I do, it may be shortly written. Also, I've been thinking about starting an "Empties" series here on the blog. I've seen beauty gurus do them and it really interested me so I'm going to gradually start publishing posts on the products that I've used up and tell you what I thought of them. One particular beauty guru that does these videos and that I like to watch is essiebutton. She has a lot of these kinds of videos and she frequently does these. So yeah, if you wanna check her videos out, make sure to do so because she is awesome and I love her sense of humour and her videos are well done. Here is a link if you want!

Sooooo, I will hang with you guys later! See ya!
Keep Smiling,
M-L

My Music Playlist #2

          Hey everyone!

Today I'm going to update you guys with my music playlist!

  • Maps - Maroon 5: This song though... Holy cow, this song is SOOO catchy! Actually, I have it on replay right now =P. Heck, I have it on replay everyday err day XD. The beat of the music... sigh... the melody... Adam Levine... so perfect..! It's such a catchy tune! And honestly, it will automatically make you dance. No joke. Go check it out!
Maroon 5 - Maps

  • You and I - Park Bom: This is a Korean song by the South Korean singer Park Bom, who is also in a girl group called 2ne1. I love the melody of this song. It's not as catchy as Maps though, but still a thumbs up!

Park Bom - You And I

  • Where is the Love - Black Eyed Peas: This song has such a nice melody. And it comes up with a meaningful message too wrapped up in a pop song! That's what I like about the song. This song isn't new though, but it's still good and worth listening to.

Black Eyed Peas - Where is the Love

  • You Gave Me Love - Macy Kate: My sister listened to this song first and she played it so many times that I started liking it and now it's on my playlist! This song makes you want to sing along and hit the high notes! It's a feel-good song and I like it a lot!

Macy Kate - You Gave Me Love

  • A Boy - G-Dragon: First of all the music video is awesome. It has a nice melody and a good use of that "techno" music. This is a pretty old song, like, a few years old. It's really good though, and the beat is awesome!

G-Dragon - A Boy

There we go! It was a pretty short post but I hope you enjoyed it! I didn't really listen to that much music these days so... yeah! Until next time!

Keep Smiling,
M-L

Back to School with M-L #5

          Hey guys!

This is the last post in the back to school series of 2014! I will put up more posts about school related things but just not as a back to school post. But as the last post for my back to school series of 2014, I will share with you what I do to get ready one week before school starts.

The first thing is to go to sleep early. It's pretty obvious, right? I mean you can't really sleep at like, midnight and expect to wake up at six or seven am. And even if you can, you'll most probably end up with dark circles. That's not a good look when you go back to school. So start gradually sleeping earlier and waking up earlier. It's bad for your sleep cycle if you immediately go to bed early and wake up at like six in the morning. Your cycle needs to be used to it and then your sleeping routine will be regular.

If you haven't gone back to school shopping, now is your time. But beware, some of the supplies might run out because they were on sale and people took advantage of that and bought everything on the shelf. Though sometimes stores will lower the price of certain items because no one is buying them and they just want to get rid of it. As for clothes, some stores have their end
of season sales so go check them out too.

Start doing more physical activities. Not only will you be healthier, but in gym class you won't be as tired and sweaty and sore. It's a thumbs up!

If you have a few pimples on your face like I do, then this week will be to help you get rid of them. If you want to, use natural home remedies to fade them. Sometimes I do it and the ones I use, I don't do it all the time. I'll use them sometimes every few weeks.
Like usual, do your skin care routine. But then as a spot treatment, I recommend:
  • Honey: it's really soothing and good for sensitive skin. Not only will it help with your pesky zits, it will also give your face a nice glow. Use a Q-tip and dab some honey onto your pimples. Next, put a band-aid on so that bacteria from the air doesn't infect your pimple. Plus, you're going to sleep with honey on your face so it won't get messy and sticky when you sleep.
  • Tea Tree Oil: Tea Tree Oil is really powerful and it dries up your pimples. I recommend diluting it with a bit of water so that it's not too strong for your skin. Again, grab a Q-tip and dab some onto your pimples. It will also eliminate that red colour from your zits which is a bonus!
  • Ginger: My dad actually told me about this and it did helped me. Cut a piece of ginger and rub the inside onto your skin. If you put the ginger in the fridge before, it will be cold and it will be cooling to your skin. But that's it basically, just rub it in and leave it there.
  • My parents has also told me that tomato, cucumber and rice water work. My mom actually used rice water when she was younger. On occasion I will splash on some rice water to my face and it is really refreshing.

Oh, this isn't a natural remedy, but I use the Spot Clear Intensive Patch by The Face Shop. What it is essentially, is a sticker that you stick on your pimple and sleep with it overnight. The next day you take the sticker off. Your blemish won't go down immediately, but it will reduce the size and colour.

Eat healthy again. If you were always eating healthy food, then continue! But if you were like me, sometimes eating pizza for lunch, or burgers, or ice cream, then start gradually incorporating healthy foods back into your meals. A delicious snack that I do at home is healthy. I will make a post on that snack later.

There we have it! The last post on the Back to School with M-L for 2014! I hope you enjoyed it, and be sure to stay tune for more next year! Have a GREAT day!

Keep Smiling,
M-L

iTube

          Heeey guys!

I just realized that I didn't mention a very cool App that I use to listen to my music in my first music playlist post. Well now I'm here to tell you that I use iTube! This is going to be a short post by the way.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure all of you teens out there know what this App is ; ). But for those who don't know, iTube is an App on Apple (I'm not sure if it's on Android too). It lets you listen to songs or even watch videos (I've done that and it actually works). You're probably thinking, "Yeah, well there's this thing called YouTube, duh."  Yes, but when you watch YouTube and you want to keep listening to your video but you have to do something else so you close the App, it stops playing, so you can't multitask. However, iTube lets you do multiple stuff while listening to your video and/or songs! It's kind of like that Music App on Apple except you can watch videos too and you don't have to download stuff into that App. Amazing right? Completely mind-blown?

You can create different playlists too, like your favorites, or the songs you listen to sleep, or the hottest music from the radio. That's what I use to make my music playlists and to listen to my favorite songs at the moment! Plus, you can put your songs on REPLAY. You can listen to your fave songs everyday err day without having to press replay all the time. It will play automatically. YouTube can't do that, can't it? Nope.

If you haven't downloaded the App yet, download it. Now you know why everyone has been obsessing over it. Just do it because it will become your number one most used App on your iPad, or iPhone, or iPod, or whatever device you use.

Hope you enjoyed this pretty quick post. I will put up another post in three days. Oh yeah, and this isn't a review.

See ya!

M-L

M-L's Review on the Excel Mints in Mixed Berry

          Heeello peoples!

Today for this day's post I decided to do a review! Gosh, when was the last time I had done one of these? I think my previous one was a review on Sherlock... yeah. In the beginning of the month? Hmm, it wasn't long ago... Anyway, this review will be about the Excel Mints in Mixed Berry..! I wasn't kidding when I said in my first review that I was going to review about such random things. =) Enjoy!

This is what the mints case looks like.

I got this pack of mints at Walmart.  I forgot how much they cost but I'm pretty sure they cost under five dollars. The case is made of metal and you have to snap the lid up to open. You get 49 mints in the case which is written on the lower left. The actual mint is on the upper right.

The size of the mint is somewhat small. In comparison, it's in between the small Altoid mints and the big round Lifesaver mints. I think it's perfect to carry with you wherever you go. The case is decent-sized. You can store it in your backpack, lunch box, regular everyday bag or your purse.

I tried a mint to see what it tastes like and to share with you what I think of it. It tastes really good. It's sweet, and you get bits that are kind of tart too. But there isn't any cooling sensation in your mouth. I'd say that this is like a substitute for candy.

Once I finished my mint, I licked my wrist. I heard that licking your wrist and waiting for ten seconds will determine what your breath smells like. Anyways I waited and smelt my wrist afterwards. It didn't smell like anything.

In all, I don't really recommend this brand of mints. These mints tastes really good, but they don't leave your breath smelling fresh like mint or bubble gum. It just gets rid of your bad breath. Even though it does eliminate your smelly breath, I recommend something that will also freshen it up and make your breath smell good.

It looks like a pretty short review but I hope you guys enjoyed reading it! I decided to make a review on mints because it's almost back to school and one of the most important things to carry with you is a pack of mints in case your breath smells and you're not allowed to chew gum. There are so many different brands of mints and you might not know which one to choose. I wanted to share with you what I thought of one of those brands.

Should I make a review on another brand of mints? Honestly, I have so many different brands and I can tell you what I think of them! Just kidding... or maybe. =)

Thanks for reading! Until next time folks!

Keep Smiling,
M-L

Back to School with M-L #4

          Hey friends!
We're on our forth post on our back to school series! What will the fourth post be..? Exciting, isn't it? Drum roll please! OUTFIT IDEAS!!! Yaaayy, hugs all around! Yes, let's brainstorm and inspire! Let's begin!

If you are leaning towards the girly side, wear florals! Not only does it add a feminine taste, it also adds color and pattern to your outfit which is always a thumbs up. Florals with a skirt can also never go wrong. But if you feel more comfortable with pants, wear them! I see flowers with denim, so maybe a denim skirt, shorts or pair of jeans, or a denim jacket. I don't suggest wearing florals with other patterned item of clothing. It will most probably clash together and we don't want that! Instead, try one item that is patterned and the rest of your outfit can be solid colors. If you don't want to wear floral clothes, a simple skirt with a cute top and flats work magnificently. Adding pink to your outfit adds for a sweeter look. As for accessories, little, simple but cute jewellery work! Pearls, studs, just basic little things that will amplify your outfit. Thinner belts are very stylish, especially those braided leather belts. Pastel colored scarves are super cute and matches the girly look.

 **

If you are leaning more on the edgy side, there's no problem with actually being edgy, so long as you're not breaking your school's dress code. If it represents you as who you are and you feel comfortable in it, go for it! When I think edgy, I think metal, leather, dark clothing. That's just how I see it in my mind. One of my friends is edgy like that and I think she has a good sense of style. I usually see edgy girls wearing maroon coloured slim pants with a black top or jacket. I think that is very stylish. Black boots look awesome with anything at all and definitely a leather jacket if you want that edgy look. Wearing large, noticeable earrings look super cool. Big flashy bracelets are a plus too! Wearing thick belts with studs on them will be awesome with your outfit. Don't forget to have that "rock out!" attitude. ;)

 **

If you are more of the casual type, like me, basically your key word here is comfort. A basic top, bottom, sneakers, a few simple accessories and you are good to go. There isn't much to say here but to be comfortable. I am the casual type, so the least I can say is what I usually wear. I like to wear
sweaters and jeans. I don't go for patterns as long as I really like the item of clothing. I go for simple accessories like a one lace bracelet and necklace, a basic pair of earrings... And HOODIES! I don't have that many but I'm trying to have a collection. Hoodies go with anything and they make you warmer during the cold days.

 **

If you're looking towards the preppy side, collars and cardigans are a must! I see a preppy outfit with white knee high socks. It reminds me of some of those private school uniforms. As for bottoms, I would opt for loose skirts. Burgundy colored, grey or black, navy. If it's too cold on the first day of school, wear tights underneath to keep you warm. Another way to keep yourself warm is if you put a collared shirt underneath a sweater. I love that style and I think it looks really cute and preppy. Still looking on the cold day possibility, wear boots. Not those Uggs though. Try going with brown leather boots. If it's rather a sunny hot day, wear flats or Toms or even Converse shoes if you want! Though for the preppy look, Toms or flats look more appropriate for your outfit.

Voila! These were a few outfit brainstorms for your first day of school! I hope you can get inspired and motivated for your back to school outfit! Don't forget, it's all about representing you as a person. If you feel comfortable with what you're wearing, there's nothing stopping you. Of course, if you want to change your look, and get out of your comfort zone, you can do that by all means! It's your choice!

Have fun picking out an outfit!

Keep Smiling,
M-L

My Music Playlist #1

          Hi dear friends!
I was thinking about the blog and I realized that I seldom talk about music here! Ok, I mentioned it once and it was music that helps me fall asleep but still. That is why I will make a series about the music I've been liking so far and share with you my music playlist. I will also update my playlist every once in a while for you! I hope you like this new series and feel free to leave me some of your music from your playlist or even just a song you really like and want to share! Sharing is caring!

  • Missing You Like Crazy - Taeyeon: I'm actually listening to this song right now! If you are a Kpop fan and an SNSD/Girl's Generation fan, first of all you deserve a high five (high five!), second of all, you probably know who Taeyeon is. For those who don't know, Taeyeon is a Kpop singer from South Korea and is the leader for the popular girl group, SNSD also known as Girl's Generation. The song is in Korean, so I don't really understand what she's saying (but I did find the translation in English), though the title kind of tells us what the song is about. I actually have this in my playlist because I miss some people who I have grown attached to (even though I only knew them for a short period of time). I can relate to this song. The melody of this song is so relaxing. It's soft but it's not that slow. If you've never listened to Kpop (OTHER THAN Gangnam Style and Gentleman- just Psy, really), you should give it a go!
Taeyeon - Missing You Like Crazy

  • Can You Feel the Love Tonight - Elton John: This song is also very relaxing (I'm really into relaxing and slow-paced songs if you couldn't tell)! You might know this song more than the first one I mentioned. Ah yes, the beloved song from the beloved Lion King. It really gets to you, doesn't it? I really like this song and added it to my playlist because I love how it is a feel-good song. It makes you all happy and mushy inside!
Elton John - Can You Feel the Love Tonight

  • Hold My Hand - Cover by Jason Chen and Joseph Vincent (Original by Akon ft. Michael Jackson): I'll admit, I've never heard of Akon and I never really liked the King of Pop (Michael Jackson fans, don't pounce on me). I only heard this song as a cover on YouTube and I really liked it so I decided to listen to the original. To be honest, I love both versions of this song! It also has such a feel-good beat to it! I also like to listen to the piano version of it too.           Jason Chen & Joseph Vincent - Hold My Hand
Akon ft. Michael Jackson - Hold My Hand

  • Wedding Dress Piano Version - Taeyang: Another Kpop song! This one is by Taeyang, who is a member of the South Korean boy group called Big Bang but is also a solo singer. The actual song is very good and I have it as my alarm for the morning. However I have the piano version on my playlist. There are different piano versions but most of them are all so nice to listen to. The lyrics and the meaning of the song are pretty sad but it's still a nice song and worth listening to.
Taeyang - Wedding Dress Piano

  • Come What May - Moulin Rouge: I never watched the movie but I have listened to the song and I did have a very long phase of always having the urge to sing it every day. It's a love song and it may sound cheesy but it's really sweet. I especially love the harmonies!
Moulin Rouge - Come What May

  • Tidal Wave - Karmin: I honestly never heard of Karmin until I heard this song. I didn't even discover this song! My sister kept on playing it and I liked it so I started listening to it too. She sings this song with someone. It's a duet. I don't know who the male voice is in the song but if I'm correct, I think I heard that it was her boyfriend..? Anyway, I like this song because of the melody and the HARMONY! Both their voices are strong and matches each other's so well.
 Karmin - Tidal Wave

  • I Love You, You Love Me - TaecYeon: This song is in Japanese but is sung by a Kpop singer, TaecYeon. I don't know much about TaecYeon like I do Taeyeon and Taeyang. I only know him as the guy who sang this song. This is as you can tell by the title of the song, a love song. It's a feel-good, upbeat song. I really love the final chorus of the song when he sings that long "oh" part in the background! The beat makes you want to dance and wish a boy sang this to you! Yeah, I'm kidding about the latter... maybe...
TaecYeon - I Love You You Love Me

  • Abing Abing - Orange Caramel: A Kpop song! Again! This one is by the South Korean sub-group Orange Caramel! One of my friends made me listen to this song and I instantly fell in love with it. She told me that this song is about ice cream and the music video proves it so I thought since it's summer, I should add this in my music playlist! And for those who know Orange Caramel, can we agree how PRETTY Nana is?!?
Orange Caramel - Abing Abing

There we go! Here is my music playlist right now! Well, this isn't ALL of it, just a few because this post would be waaay too long. I will update overtime!

What's in your music playlist right now?

Keep Smiling,
M-L

Back to School with M-L #3

Hi everybody! We are in the second week of August and I'm still not done with my back to school posts! But for today, it will be about the "post-gym class" issue!
I will be sharing with you some "post-gym class" essentials and a few little tips and tricks for feeling refreshed and clean after a good sweaty gym class!

One important thing is deodorant. People, you don't want to be known as the person stinking up a room by having BO. It's not very classy... Have a little travel size deodorant in your gym locker. I suggest putting some on maybe before your gym period but definitely after. It all depends on the type of deodorant you have. If you have the anti-perspiring one, then I think putting it on before is better. If it's the scented one, like the one I have, then put it after.

Oil-blotting sheets because your face will probably be shiny and oily from all your hard work during gym. Put one pack in your gym locker and when you're done changing, take one sheet and stamp it all over your face, especially your forehead. To save time, blot your face as you head out the changing room.

I don't use this product but if you want, bring a travel size dry shampoo can. Your hair will most likely be oily and a quick fix with dry shampoo will absorb the moisture from your scalp. Personally, I don't do much with my hair so that's why I don't use dry shampoo because I can just tie my hair up after gym class. But if you want, you can use dry shampoo.

Body spray/perfume is a good thing to have if your deodorant is too weak. I don't bring body spray because I don't think I stink that much and because I have a very strong scented deodorant. If you want to wear body spray, I suggest spritzing your perfume/body spray as you head to your hallway locker so that the scent isn't too overpowering since you'll be in a more open area than your changing room.

Elastics and bobby pins are useful if you need a simple hair style for after your class.

If you want to use baby wipes or any wipes to strip down the sweat on your body, you can bring that but personally I don't have time to do that so I don't do it.

I don't wear makeup but if you do, and your makeup smudged, then have 5-10 seconds for any fix-ups that needs to be... fixed.

I did mention to use your products as you head to your hallway locker (body spray, oil-blotting sheets...). Once you are at your locker, you can put your gym essentials in your locker and then when it's time for gym you can carry it to your gym locker.

Another back to school topic done and ready! Hope you enjoyed these post-gym class essentials! Feel free to tell me what your post-gym class essentials are in the comments! Thank you for reading and have a great Monday! Until next time!

Keep Smiling,
M-L

M-L's July Favorites of 2014

Whassup everybody! I was thinking of changing my calendar this week, and I thought that one month has already past. July 2014 is behind us and we are in August now so it's time for the panda's favorites of 2014!

  • First, one of my July favorites was seeing my cousin, aunt and uncle! It's been about 4 years since I saw them last and it was just great to see them.
  • Another one of my favorites, this is something my cousin actually recommended to me, and it's Sherlock! Guys. I finally understand what fangirling is because of Sherlock and Watson!! I did a review on the show here on the blog so check it out! It's my absolute favorite show!
  • I went shopping with my cousin while she was here visiting us and she bought me this cute top from H&M! I'll admit it, normally I don't really like shopping, one because I don't really need it, two because I want to spend my money on books, and three because I... yeah, just two reasons. But you get what I mean. Anyway, the top is long sleeved but you can easily roll it up because it's so light and loose. It's white with not small but not big black stars. It's see-through though, so I wear it with a tank top underneath. It works for all four seasons in my opinion!
  • Raspberries from my backyard has been superb! They are so juicy, sweet yet tart and simply tasty! My family and I grow red raspberries and yellow raspberries. The yellow ones are more sweet and they're not tart at all. Even though I don't really enjoy tart foods, I wouldn't be able to pick out a favorite out of both of those two kinds of raspberries. They are just that good!
  • Haagen Dazs ice cream has been a staple for me during summer. It has been my favorite ice cream for as long as I can remember and since then it hasn't changed. Just eating that will make my day. There are different kinds of Haagen Dazs ice cream, but I usually prefer the ones with the popsicle sticks that has vanilla ice cream and a  chocolate-almond coating. IT'S SO GOOD! If you guys haven't tried it (I will be extrememly surprised, by the way), TRY IT! You are missing out.

Well, those has been my favorites of July 2014! It doesn't seem like a lot, does it? Maybe in August I'll have more. Anyway, until next time! Have a good evening folks!

M-L's Review on Sherlock

Hello! I'm back on the blog with a review for you! This review will be about a show from the UK called Sherlock.

Essentially, the show follows the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. John H. Watson. They solve cases in England together. Every episode is about an hour and a half, I believe. The show consists of three episodes per season and right now there are only three seasons. You'd have to wait a year for the next.

So, what to say about Sherlock... What is there to say? The show leaves you ABSOLUTELY speechless. The deductions Sherlock makes during a case, the actual mysteries, the resolution at the end of each episode. You will be entangled in the mysteries of Sherlock and will never escape, I tell you.

What I like about the show is that it is well planned out. Personally, I'd say that it is unlike American shows now-a-days. American shows in my opinion make no sense. But Sherlock, however, all of the little, minor details of each and every episode is so careful, from the plot to the script. There's always a little twist and the deductions of Sherlock Holmes makes the situation so obvious. That's what I like about the show; it's because of how smart the main character is and how he's going to get through with the plot.
I'm not quite sure what the show is rated, and it's really vague because people have different opinions, but I'm thirteen years old and I watch it so... 13+ show? I'd say that because it involves murder, serial killers, drugs, dead bodies, suspense, weapons, few violent action sequences, bit of blood and "language", if you know what I mean.
What I don't like about the show is that if I didn't have subtitles for me to read, I wouldn't understand a thing Sherlock would say. Don't get me wrong, I like it when the actor who plays Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch, talks the way he does in the show, very fast and mumbling a bit, but if I didn't have subtitles it would be very agitating for me because I would never know what he says. Another
thing is that there's only three episodes every season. I wish they'd have more.

I hope you enjoyed reading my review on Sherlock! Watch it, it's really cool and interesting! It's probably my favourite show now! Until next time!

You see, but do not observe. The distinction is clear.
