My Music Playlist #4

Soooo sorry I didn't put up a post last week and I completely left you all hanging! I didn't have the time to write up a post, and I also didn't have an idea to write about... But this week though I'm going to share with you the songs I've been listening to these past few weeks. I know I published a My Music Playlist #4 a while ago but uh, I accidentally deleted it so... yeah. I was trying to delete something else and instead I wounded up deleting the playlist one! But anyways...

  1. Yiruma - There's this playlist on YouTube that I listen to and it's a whole bunch of pieces played by Yiruma. I usually play it when I do homework, or when I'm writing in my journal. There's a lot of nice songs to listen to. It's really relaxing and you could even learn to play it on the piano!

     2. Smile - R5: R5 is a band that is most known around tweens and teens. I really like this song because it has such an upbeat melody! It makes you want to sing along! I could play it all day too and never get tired of it! You should really check out this song, it's a thumbs up :).

    3. Heart Made Up On You - R5: So, after listening to Smile, I was wondering if there was another song by R5 that I might be interested in! Turns out I do! Heart Make Up On You reeeally makes you want to dance, and of course sing along. The melody is amazing! Check it out!

   4. Come and Get Your Love - Redbone: It's from the movie Guardians of the Galaxy I heard, but I didn't watch the movie. The way I discovered this song was through one of the teachers at my school. So she was our substitute teacher and so she made us listen to 1960's songs because of our novel study, which is set in the 60's. And she presented this song to the class! And now I love it! It's got a really groovy melody!

   5. Till I Find You - Austin Mahone: I never knew that I would like Austin Mahone's songs, but I happen to like - really like this song! I discovered this song through Just Dance 2015! I was looking through the song selections and they started playing the song and I was like "Ooh, nice!" and not only did I listen to the whole song for the first time, but I also danced to it. =) Some of you guys might think that you're too old for Austin Mahone, but you should give this song a go because it's actually a really catchy song.

I hope you liked reading this post! And I hope you listen some of these songs! See you next time!!

Why Journals Leave You Jolly!

          Hello everybody,

In this blog, I'm always talking about how I write in a personal journal, and the pros for keeping one. But I think that this subject deserves an in-depth post, so this is what this blog post is going to be about!

Writing in a personal journal, like a diary, really helps you relax and de-stress, I've said this before. I've noticed before that I always feel happy and positive when I finish writing. And you can write whatever you want in your journal. You can write about your feelings, problems, the things you need to accomplish like New Year's resolutions or to-do lists, an event that you experienced, whatever! That's what I like about journals.

Now, if I remember correctly, I got interested in keeping and writing in a journal when I actually got to choose a journal that I thought suit me. It automatically made me want to write in it. So, obviously, I started writing in it a lot. Not everyday, but I wrote in it a lot. Eventually though I always wanted to write in it, everyday. So, if you want to start writing in a journal, choose a book that you think suits you, and your personality.

Write about anything and everything! Don't hold things back! What's the point in keeping a personal diary? As soon as you start writing, everything will pool out. You'll keep on writing and writing, and then at the end, you'll feel so light, and like everything is off your shoulders. You'll have an empty mind. It feels like you're telling a friend everything that happened to you. It'll feel like they're really listening to you. So just write whatever you want!

I really love doing this, and it's reading your past entries! I find it so amusing to read what I wrote months ago. Sometimes I read my entries, and I think that I acted differently then. Or I read an entry, and I think to myself Did I actually do that?! or Wow, I actually wrote that!. You'll laugh a lot, I promise you that. Or you'll smile, remember that one event that happened like, five months ago. It's amazing to me how I remember everything that's happened whenever I read my previous entries. I read a line, and I think Oh hey, I remember that! Then this happened..!. Another reason why re-reading your journal is really cool, is because you might write something in there like Oh this person told me that they liked this. and when you re-read it, and their birthday is coming up, you can buy that person the thing they liked. You'll see, you'll always be re-reading your diary. For those who read their past entries, you know what I mean!

Like I've said before, you don't always have to write in your journal every day. When you're bored, or you really feel like writing, then do it! Some people like writing in the morning, to start their day off, and some people like to write in their journals at night, to finish their day. I personally don't like writing in the morning, so I always write in my journal in the afternoon, evening, or night before I go to bed.

So, I hope you invest in a journal that you like, and to begin writing in one. It's a nice way to get rid of all your stress, and to relax. Have some background music! In a couple years, you'll read them again and have a good laugh out of them. You could even show it to your future kids if you keep them for a while..! Hihi...=) I hope you liked this post!

M-L's January Favourites of 2014

          Hi all!
Sooooo... As you can tell, I changed the name of my blog, and I made a few adjustments to it... I hope you don't mind it, and I hope you will continue reading it even though the title changed.

I haven't done a favourites post in a pretty long time so this is what today's post is going to be about...

I really liked the Victoria's Secret Such a Flirt body lotion and body spray this month, and half of the month of November too. I like how sweet it smells. It has a warm scent which I think is appropriate for the winter months. The aroma is actually starfruit and white orchid. I've been wearing Such a Flirt almost every day and I have never gone tired of it!

This is the Blistex's tinted lip balm (Lip Vibrance) with SPF 15, and Maybelline's Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Just Peachy. I've been doing a combination of these two tinted lip balms because the Blistex alone is a bit too dark to my liking, and the Just Peachy looks too light and "weird" on me. So, I was kind of playing around with my other tinted lip balms and I found that these two together looked better on me than on their own. Also, the Blistex has SPF in it so I really like it, and it adds a hint of shimmer!

This is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Moroccan Argan Oil. Since the days have been colder and dry, I don't want my hair to be dry either. So I've been using this oil on mostly the ends of my hair. I really like the way it smells. It smells sweet and kind of nutty in my taste. So I'll put this on when my hair is damp after I have just taken a shower, or when it's dried and I feel like it needs a pick-me-up. A little goes a long way I think, so like, three drops or even less is all you really need. It was actually my sister's, but she didn't like it so she passed it on to me and I like it a lot!

I got this for Christmas but I just really needed to add it to my favourites! It's a winter jacket and it is so warm! But it's not heavy, like those heavy ski jackets, even though it really warms you up. I realized that even though it's really warm and it feels like I'm sweating, I'm surprisingly not... It's odd but I really like it!

I've been starting to use the Rocky Mountain Soap Company's Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner in Blossom Berry. I originally didn't like the smell of it, but every time I used it I started getting more used to it, and now I actually kind of like the smell of it. I especially like how the conditioner softens my hair. I'm not too picky with shampoo; if it cleans my hair and it doesn't make my hair feel weird then I'm all for it. It's just the conditioner that I need to watch out for. Sometimes there are conditioners that leave like, grease/oil in my hair and I don't like the feeling of it. This particular conditioner doesn't leave my hair oily, but it makes it soft and may I add luxurious.

This is Nivea's Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose. I really enjoy the way it smells. And it leaves my lips really soft. It's not tinted with colour so I wear this before I go to bed and before I to school. I think the only thing I don't like about the lip butter is that you need to use your finger to get the product... but overall it's worth it.

I've been writing in this journal since the beginning of September, so I'm almost finished with it! I wanted to include journaling in this favourites post because it is one of my New Year's resolutions. I always feel so relaxed when I'm writing in my journal, so it gets rid of all the stress I had that day. I really recommend keeping a journal so that you can write about your day and to just wind down after a long, tiring day.

And that has been my favourites for this month, December, and even November! I hope you enjoyed the week's blog post. Until next time!

Keep Smiling,
M-L
