Spring Cleaning

          Hey everybody,

I start my Spring Cleaning this week, so I'm thinking of doing a very deep, very thorough cleaning of my room. I thought that I could share with you guys some tips to clean your room. I'll make this post short but sweet so that you won't waste any time to clean your room! =)

Open your curtains! I always thought that the sunlight helps me work more efficiently. Even if it's cloudy outside (like it is right now, haha), it'll make your room brighter and will somehow make you motivated to clean your room. And if you want, you can even open your windows!

Put some music on, it'll make the cleaning much more fun. You can sing along to a song as you dust your furniture! It makes your cleaning faster too. I clean my room with the playlist on my iPad. But I now have this big CD player thing that can also play the radio, so I use that too. I really like Sugar by Maroon 5 and I Really Like You by Carly Rae Jepsen because both songs are so catchy, and I sing to it all the time so it's like a good distraction while I'm cleaning my room.

Start in one section of your room and finish that section before moving on. For me it's really easy to lose interest in cleaning one particular section of my room, and I always want to move on to another part of my room. But doing that will only lead to a bigger mess in my opinion, so it's good to start one part of the room and finish it.

Take breaks once in a while. For me, the breaks I take when I clean my room is to either just lie on my bed and listen to the music that's on, or to play around the stuff I found while cleaning my room, or to step out of my room to take a breather. You will recollect your thoughts and figure out the next steps to your cleaning.

Don't be lazy, even if it may be hard... You're already doing the very thorough spring cleaning that you do like, once a year, so might as well work out all the corners and stains and cracks of your room. It'll be worth it once you're done!

Set deadlines so that you finish cleaning your room faster. You may find some stuff that you thought you lost a while ago, so you'll start playing with it. You can do that, but there's a chance that you'll lose track of time. So just remember that you have a deadline to meet. You will clean more efficiently!

So these were a few essential tips for when you clean your room! I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and that you will be motivated to clean your own room! Have fun with it, and until next time folks!

Clubs at School

          Hello everyone,
About a month ago I joined a club at my school. The meetings were on Mondays and Thursdays, the same days I had my martial art classes, so those two days of the week were very hectic for me. But, I made it work! This post will be about clubs at school, and why you should join clubs, or sports teams.

If you're interested in something like, let's say basketball, then you can try out for the basketball team. You want to join that club because you like it, and you're interested in what it's about. For instance, I like running, so at the beginning of the year I joined my school's Cross Country team and ran for my school! I joined it last year too, and I got to talk to people I never really talked to from my school! Last year, I also joined my school's book club. It was fun, but because there weren't enough students joining, it got cancelled... but it was fun!

You make new friends when you join clubs, like I've said before. Usually, clubs take in people from different grades, so you will make friends with people from different grades! I joined a club at my school, and now I'm close friends with a lot of students. We recently had this event with different schools, and it was really fun. Not only did I make new friends from my school, but during that event I made friends with students from different schools! It was really cool!

It's good to be involved in your school community. My school always says that it's good to be part of the school community, because you're in the loop of what's happening, and because you'll feel more at home when you do. I say it's better to join clubs than to be at home doing nothing. And, it's good to be a well rounded student, and to be busy.

This was a pretty short post, but I hope you enjoyed reading it! Until next time!!

Yummy and Easy Breakfast Ideas

          Hi everyone,
Today I have for you a post about different breakfast ideas that you can make in the morning before you start your day. I suppose a lot of these breakfast ideas are healthy, so it's perfect for your health! These breakfasts are really easy and fast to make so you won't have to rush or anything for school or work.

Toast with Butter and Honey - I don't know if you guys have ever heard of honey with toast, but it's surprisingly delicious! Instead of the usual toast and butter, or with peanut butter, or Nutella (yuummm), eating toast with honey is healthier, and it's still just as sweet.

Honey Greek Yogurt with Raspberries - This is also a delicious yet healthy breakfast! And it's honey Greek yogurt, so it won't taste as bland! The tartness of the raspberries balances out with the sweetness so it's not too sweet. Making this is as simple as getting a bowl, putting Greek yogurt into it, washing the raspberries, and sprinkling raspberries on the yogurt! If I'm super late for school, this breakfast is my go-to because it takes like, a minute to make!

Toast with Nutella and Strawberries - Everyone loves Nutella, right? Well I do... =) This breakfast isn't all that healthy, but it's still sooooo good! It's kind of- kind of like a crepe with Nutella and strawberries, but if you're in a hurry to eat something in the morning, bread can substitute with crepes! It tastes just as good! You just gotta be careful with the chocolate left around your mouth ;).

Scrambled Eggs with Sugar - Well, sprinkles of sugar. This is also suuuuuuuper easy to make, and fast too, though it takes the longest to make out of this list. But you just have to cook scrambled eggs, and while your eggs are still hot/warm, sprinkle some sugar on there, or maple syrup. I don't know if anyone does this, but I like eating it that way. It makes the eggs less bland, and more sweet. You guys should try it out sometime, because you might be surprised how it tastes!

Baguette Bread with Jam and Buttter - This is also an easy breakfast, and it tastes really good! It's very simple to make. A lot of people like jam with peanut butter, but I don't like peanut butter. So to replace the peanut butter I just put actual butter. And yeah, it's delicious! If you haven't tried it out yet you should!

These are the breakfasts I make for myself! They're easy to make, and they're delicious, they taste great! I hope you try them out because who knows, you might actually like one of these breakfasts!

To Do Lists!

          Hey everyone!
For this week's post, I wanted to write about to do lists. I could never make to do lists in the past because I thought that I would remember doing everything I needed to do in a certain time period, but one of my new year's resolutions was to start writing to do lists, just to see if it actually works for me. I've been trying to keep up with the to do lists I've been writing myself these past few weeks, and I've got to say, it has been working. There are a few times when I couldn't finish everything on my list, but for the most part, I managed to get most of my things done!

This picture here is an example of what I do to write to do lists. I draw a little box next to each task I have to finish so that when I'm done of one them, I simply check off the box, and to have the satisfaction that I completed something. This to do list was for today, I needed to finish everything by the end of the weekend. I didn't remember one of the things I had to finish until later during the day, so I drew an arrow in between two other things I needed to complete, to show how important that task was. Doing these kinds of to do lists for me helped me get my work done faster, because it made me realize how much stuff I needed to get done in just two days. I also got to clearly prioritize the things I needed to do, or the things that would take longer to finish. I got everything that was on the list done in a day!
The little notepad I'm using is from Michael's. Every time I finish a list, I'll rip off the paper from the pad and it'll make me feel so happy that I'm done with it! It might be a waste of paper, especially if I'm doing these kinds of to do lists every week, so I'm figuring out what else I could use that won't be wasteful. I have a white  board and a small chalk board in my room, so I might use that instead of the notepad... We'll see!
I recommend doing to do lists because I think it really helps you get more organized. You get to prioritize the things you need to finish first, you can know how much you actually need to do in a certain time period, you know how hard and fast you need to work on each task you wrote down, and you get the pleasure of checking each task off your list at the end! How fun and effective is that?! =)

Anyways, I hope you found this post helpful! You should really give writing to do lists a try because I think it will help you in some way. So, until next time!
