3D Piano Puzzle

          What's up everyone!
Today's post will be about this very very very awesome puzzle! I won't go into too much detail, but basically this is a puzzle in which you have to attach pieces together in order to achieve a 3D sculpture..! And the results are suuuuuuper amazing!

I've done this kind of puzzle before (the Arc de Triomphe? Remember in the background of my pictures haha?), but this is the first time I took pictures and actually tried to remember what I did and how I felt doing it. For this one I did, so let's see how I did!

As you can see here in the picture, I had everything all set. I had my pliers ready, the instructions ready to go, I even had a glass of water haha!

So throughout the entire process, I forgot to take pictures of my progress. Why? Because I got so frustrated! The metal sheets are so sharp and pointy it was so painful to put them together! I clearly remember that I started after lunch, so around 12:40 pm. And when I finished, it was around 4 pm. You would think, wow, it must look so nice and perfect because of all the time I spent making it! But even though it took like three hours to finish, some parts broke apart. I had to glue them back together carefully and patiently and wait for the glue to dry completely.

This was the result.

Looks pretty darn cute, am I right?!

Even though the piano isn't all clean cut and perfect, I like how this turned out! Doing this puzzle definitely made me more... patient, that's for sure. If any of you see this on store shelves, you should definitely try it and give it a go! I know I will want to make more of these!!

So that's it for today folks. This was actually a post I've been meaning to write but I hadn't gotten to it until now. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Until next time everyone!

M-L's September Favourites of 2015

It's been awhile since I've done posts on the blog because I haven't really gotten around to write anything. But I thought I should do a favourites post today, so here are some things I loved during the wonderful month that is September!

I started writing in this new journal this month, and I absolutely love it! I really like the quality of the pages because it's thick and most inks don't shadow onto the next page. It's made of leather, and it smells like it, and I loooove the smell of it! It looks really nice as well when you leave it out, or if you put it in your bookshelf. Also, the messages written on the cover are really inspirational and motivational, there are things written like "live bold... wonder far", "the story begins", and "live the life you imagine". Everything about it is so niiice.

This though..! Aaaah! Okay, this is the Ice Breaker's Cool Blasts. It's not mints, it's not gum, they're chews! You chew it like gum, but then the chew dissolves so it's not actually gum, and if you're at school and a class doesn't allow you to chew gum, you can eat this one because you won't have it for long! And I really think that these chews work a LOT better than mints and gum. These are sooo refreshing and I think your minty fresh breath will last a lot longer! You should definitely check these out!

This is the coolest looking container ever for mints, seriously. These are the Frisk mints in "extra strong". So I'm not sure if you can see clearly, but to get out a mint out, you press down on the top (right side in the picture) and then the bottom will pop out with a mint. Basically, I think it's a much more hygienic way to get out your mint, especially if a friend asks for some. Also, I found this at a small local grocery store, and I haven't found this at another store, so I'm not exactly sure where you can buy this. It's actually from Germany, so that's cool!

I had this phase during September where I'd make a ton of fruit salad. It was really good, DELICIOUS. In this picture, I put in some strawberries, blueberries, apples, pear, and these "specialty plums", I'm not sure what it's actually called. They're green plums, and they're super sweet and delicious! I squeezed a lime and sometimes I would put in agave nectar, sometimes I omitted it. But that's it! I stirred the whole thing up and put them in containers to bring to school. It tastes so good, and it's a good way to eat your serving of fruits.

These boots! I'm so happy that I own these boots, aaaaah! These are combat boots that I got from Bluenotes for actually pretty cheap, because they had a sale!! Aaah! I love these boots because 1) they look really awesome and cute 2) they have a zipper in the back, so you don't have to always lace them up and 3) you can choose to fold the boots to show this really awesome design and 4) they have a heel that's like, a centimeter high so I'm a centimeter taller =). These boots will be perfect for fall, and I'm so excited to wear these more throughout the season!

So these were some of my favourite things this month. There wasn't much this month, but I still hope you enjoyed reading this post. Until next time folks!
