Let's be Happy!

          Hey guys!

I was thinking about what I should write this week, and I figured What if people need that pick-me-up about confidence? And considering how many people have those New Year's resolutions about being more confident about themselves, I want to help you keep going!

What I'd like to know is What triggers lack of confidence? Is it because people push you down? Or yourself? Or is it that you push yourself down because you think people are judging you? I know that sometimes I lack confidence because I feel like people are judging me, people who are strangers to me and even people who I let into my life. Whatever the reason, just think about what I have to say to you in this post.

This may sound cheesy, but this is something that helps me in being who I am, and therefore being confident and happy. We've all heard of the four elements, right? Fire, water, air and earth? I believe that each of those elements mean something. For example, fire means being spontaneous, wild, and adventurous. Water means being humble, "going with the flow" (pun intended!), and patient. Earth is the side being peaceful, helpful for others but for yourself as well, and caring. Air is being intellectual, firm, and persevering.

But of course, those elements have their own cons. Like fire can be snappy, water can be too emotional, air can be stubborn, earth can be... "backstab-by". But it's all about balance. I believe that those four elements balances each other out and will then shape who you are. And being all those elements will eventually let you be yourself, confident, happy.

I've heard a lot of stories about being let down by people, mentally, emotionally, physically. Whether they stare you down, or say words to you, it's just so wrong. And because of that, I think that those people don't have all the four elements "within" them. So if they push away your confidence, just think. You know about the elements, and they don't. That should boost your confidence high, high enough that those people don't bother you.

So whenever you feel bothered, just think to yourself: you know the elements, you have those elements. Be the four elements. Yes yes yes it's cheesy, I know! But it actually helps me. And whether or not it helps you, it might help another person out there. So hear (read) my words: Be the four elements.

I really hope you try this out, and that it helps you in life. It won't make you perfect, or the greatest, but having this theory in mind will lead to you to at least great things. You're one step away of being more happy!

Keep Smiling,

Happy New Year 2015!

          Hello everybody!
I'd like to apologize (again) for not posting anything last week. I was too hung up with other stuff and didn't get the time to write a post. But I'm back now with this one!
Happy New Year! It's finally come, 2015!! I hope that you all are safe and healthy, and with your loved ones right now. I just hope you're happy especially! 2014 has been a... an interesting year, hasn't it? But just like every other year, a whole ton of events always happen. So let's hope for a memorable year! For this post, I just want to share with you a "New Year talk". Let's start the new year with a little chat. I don't want to start off with like, a favourites, or reviews or anything of the sort.

Now every year we always try to solve our New Year resolutions. Whether it's being more healthy, being more fit, getting good grades, or making a difference for the better, we all have had a little resolution, am I right? I'll be honest, I've never actually been "obsessed" with New Year resolutions. My resolutions have always been really general, like "Oh I'll get better grades! I'll participate more in class! I'll try reading 3 books a month! I'll start cleaning my room every week even though it may be tidy!" You know? But this year I thought that I would be more thoughtful about my resolutions. I won't share them with you :) but I will share with you a few things I do or will do to keep up with them. It might help you with your New Year resolutions too!

  • I'm not sure if you know but I keep a journal. It's something that I write in every time I feel like writing about anything, almost everyday. So I will write about my resolutions and every time I feel like I'm improving on my resolutions, I will write that in my journal entry. It will make me feel good and even more motivated to continue on. I think it's a really good idea and it's very satisfying to reread your entries and see how far you've improved and changed!
  • This may sound normal and "eh" but I will write more to-do lists to help with my resolutions. It will help me be in control of what I'm doing. I'm never keeping up with to-do lists honestly because I have a good memory and I always remember things that I need to do without having to do any to-do lists! But this year I am determined to make more to-do lists to help with my resolutions! I guess you could say that making to-do lists is part of my New Year resolutions. :)
  • Have an inspiration type of list, or pin board, or "Pinterest board"! Fill it with everything that has to do with your resolutions and every time you don't feel like solving your resolution, look at your inspiration and there will be a big chance of you actually doing it!

Keeping up with New Year resolutions can be tough right? For me there was always at least one resolution that would be difficult to solve. My tip is to start small, but being consistent. Once you're used to the whole "start small" then bump it up a bit until you've fully solved your resolution. It's always starting small, don't forget that!

Nothing feels better than doing something with people you love. So solve your resolutions with your family and friends! If one of your resolutions is to be more fit, go to the gym or join a sport club with your friends, or take a daily walk with your family. Or if your resolution is to limit your time on electronics, spend time with friends and family. Not only will you be solving your resolutions, you'll be spending time with the special people in your life.

I have a feeling this post is getting pretty long so I'll stop here.

I really hope you have an unforgettable year filled with as much positivity as possible! Even though some events won't be as positive, try looking on the bright side. *WARNING* This may sound cheesy, but I'll still spread it out there : Don't forget that you are a very important person, and you can make a difference, small or big in the world. And cheesiness gone! Sorry, I just really had to put it out there. But, I don't think I have to apologize for that because it actually is important for some people out there who may be reading this.

I wish you a Happy New Year everyone! May our year be a thumbs up!

Keep Smiling,
M-L
