Study, Strive, Skilled #2

          Hello everyone!!
I'm positively certain that many of you guys out there are losing your motivation to work hard at school because it's spring, and it's almost the end of school since the weather is getting a whole lot warmer! It's normal to start getting lazier in your school work when there's only a few months left until school's out, even I lose motivation here and there. But there are FIIINALS on the waaay. So, I decided to make another Study, Strive, Skilled blog post for you guys so that you get your goals back on and ace as many assignments and tests as you can, because you can! I won't (at least I won't try to) mention the same tips as I did before in the first Study, Strive, Skilled post, so here are new ones.

So, I know I didn't mention this in my other Triple S post (cool name, eh?), and it's the way you write your notes and review them. During class what I've been doing so far and it's helped me a lot, is to leave a space at the top of the page you're writing on, write down your notes and then when you're back to review what you've written, try to sum up your notes into a question... if that makes any sense, haha! But actually, your notes are the answer, you just have to write down the question that connects the two together.

Haha, I remember this activity my class did last year to help each other out when it was time for finals! It was for our social studies class, and to remember vocabulary words, we learned our vocab words through the wonderful games of HEADBANDZ and HEADS UP!! It was seriously so much fun! So all you need are like, flashcards and pen/marker to see the words clearly, and of course you need your classmates and friends! Write down all the vocab words you need to learn and then mix them all up in one big pile. Pick a card (any card =) ) from the pile without looking at it and just hold it up against your forehead so you don't see what word you got. The next thing you need to do is to play Head Bandz or Heads Up, and not only will you memorize your vocabulary for your test, but you will also
have FUN doing it!! I swear I will do this with my friends every year when it's time for finals because it actually really works!

Okay, so I know one or two of my friends literally always brings a book everywhere they go. Even if it's for a school pep rally, one of them will bring a book to read as we wait for the assembly to start! So I was thinking, instead of a book, why not bring your notes? I mean, not during school assemblies or something like that, but just bring your notes with you wherever you go so that when you have free time, you can pop them out and read them! For example, when you have after school activities and your parents are driving you to your destination, bring your notes to review and read them in the car (just make sure not to get car sick likes I always do!).

These were a few ways to get you to keep going on your studies until the end of the school year! Hopefully this will help you, and I hope you work hard! Don't forget, work hard, play hard =). Until next time everyone!

Keep Smiling,
M-L

M-L's March Favourites of 2015

          Hey guys,
I apologize for not writing last week, I haven't had the time to write a post!!
Phew! It's been a while since I've showed you my favourties of the month, so I figured, it's the end of March, so why not share with you all what I liked! I've been really "feeling" these favourites this month.

I've been really enjoying the Bath and Body Works aromatherapy 3 wick candle in lavender and vanilla! The name aromatherapy says it all, I think! Lavender and vanilla together is really calming. It smells sweet for me, with a hint of lavender. I like to take a deep breath and smell the candle, and it makes me feel good!

On the same topic of scents, I've been using the febreeze sleep serenity bedroom mist in warm milk and honey. It smells so sweet!! Although spraying too much is a bit too overwhelming for me, in all, I spray it on my bed before I go to bed. So not only do I have a lavender and vanilla scent goin' on, I also have warm milk and honey going on as well! Perfect combinations for stress relief! If you are one of those people who can't stand different strong scents, I don't recommend you doing this, because there are a whole lot of scents floating around in the room.

I recently finished the book To Kill a Mockingbird and it was a really good book! I admit, at first I actually didn't want to read the book, mostly because there were times when I couldn't understand what was happening in the story, but then eventually I got really into the book! It's a classic, so if you haven't read it yet, you should!! I think I'll do a book review on this, so stay tuned..!

My next favourite is this clock. But hold on, this isn't JUST a clock. This is an clock that changes colour! I know, it doesn't show in the picture, but when you push down on the clock, it will start changing colours! It's really cool!! The colour changing won't last too long, so you don't have to worry on turning it off. I don't know where you can get this clock because I got this as a prize. It's called the MoodiCare clock if you're wondering. The clock shows the time, the date, it has at least 4 different tunes that you can choose for your alarm, and it has the temperature on there! It's awesome!

This is a Coleto Pen! You can get this online. I really like this pen because you get to choose your own colour ink, and you can choose to put in lead in there!! So in my pen, I chose to have black ink, blue ink, purple ink, and lead so my pen is also a mechanical pencil!

There are a variety of colour pens you can choose. The one I got is ivory. There is also black, blue, lilac, bright yellow and pink, and more! Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention: you can choose how think you want your ink and lead. My pens are 0.3 mm, and my lead is 0.7 mm.

So these have been a few of my favourites for this month! I hope you enjoyed reading it! You can comment what your favourite was for March!!

Keep Smiling,
M-L
