Hello readers!
For some of you guys, you might have the dreaded summer homework that your teachers give you to complete before the next school year starts. -_-
My school doesn't do that, but I take Kumon, and it's basically the same thing. Once a week, every week, I have to come in and pick up 6 math booklets for me to do everyday during summer. Oh, but not just any math booklets, I am in a pretty high math level for my grade, so it's even more challenging for me! Don't worry, we're all in this together. People with summer homework, I feel you.
But here are some ways to make it more... decent. Or fun, but let's face it, it's homework during the summer.
I suggest doing a little work everyday so that you're not cramming it all at once at the last minute. I'll be honest, it's always been hard for me to do a "little" work everyday. It's been me procrastinating at the last minute, most of the time... Anyway, if you want, you can also do all your work at the beginning of summer so that you don't have to do it for the rest of your break. If you do that, and you successfully finish it, I will call you Superman, because I've never been able to do that and it's so hard to do!
Try doing between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm because that's when your brain is most awake... There's not much else to say to this, so let's move on to the next point, shall we?
Find a working area that has a lot of sunlight. I've heard that when it's brighter in a room, it makes you more motivated. So yeah, try it and tell me how it goes in the comments! Plus, with the light, you'll still be able to enjoy the summertime sun!
Don't rush it. It may be hard, but it's better to take your time and do a good job than to hastily do your work. You'll feel better once you're finished when you do your work properly and carefully. You have 60 days for summer, and like, 12 hours per day, you can use 2 hours of your day to finish your homework. That's more than enough time!
Good luck with your homework, and don't forget that you're not the only one that's dreading it!

Summer Deliciousness
Hello!
Since it's summer, we're more likely to enjoy refreshing food and drinks rather than something like, hot chocolate or something, right? Don't you think so? Here are some food and drink ideas to cool you down during the hotter days! For all you foodies out there, this post is for you!
Ice cream is THE best thing to eat when it's hot! It's sweet, cold, refreshing, and you can almost eat it anywhere! Plus, they come in different flavors, shapes and kinds so you get different ones without always having the same! You can eat the fruity popsicles, those little ice cream sandwiches, the eskimo ones, or the plain vanilla and chocolate! Make it even more delicious by adding toppings! If you're bored at home, you can even make your own ice cream! With an ice cream maker, the necessary ingredients and motivation you'll get your ice cream!
I have no idea what this is called, but it's like, a special water. Why is it "special water"? Well, it is water, but more special. During summer, I like to get really cold water. Then I slice up some fruits, personally I prefer citrus fruits, and I add them into the water. The water will eventually taste like the fruit you put in. It's good! You can put in lemons, oranges, grapefruit, strawberries, raspberries, whatever you want! And to kick it up a notch, add some sprigs of mint! It is SOOOO refreshing, I tell you!
Fruits are absolutely refreshing! Cut up a whole bunch of different fruits and dump 'em in a bowl! You now have a fruit salad! It's really easy, and it's probably the most easiest to make in this post.
Potato salad tastes really good, and you pack some to take on a picnic! There are a lot of different recipes to make potato salad, so you can choose one and make it! Put it in the fridge and a few hours later you'll have refreshing potato salad!
Get cookin'!

School's Out!
Hello dear readers!
Tomorrow is my last day of school... I know I may seem weird if I say this, but I love school and I'm always so depressed during the last day! Is it just me? I'm sure I'm not the only one, right? Doesn't your school feel like it's your second home? You've seen your teachers and friends and classmates everyday for like, 10 months, and now it's time to say see you later!
Anyway, this post is to know how to have a SUPERcalifragilisticexpialidocious last day at school! If you're like me, you get sad during the last day at school, or you just can't wait to get the heck out of school, or you're just curious as to how to have a SUPERcalifragilisticexpialidocious way to end the school year, keep on reading!
Let loose and have fun! Bring on a smile! Laugh, joke around, hang out with all of your friends and enjoy the sun! Don't be cranky or irritated! Oh, and especially, do NOT start fights and arguments on the last day of school! You'll be angry, stressed and sad during the break, and when you start school again, it'll probably be awkward seeing that other person again. Relax, and make every moment last!
Do things you'd never do on a regular school day. Maybe you've never really talked to this person before, well maybe now it's your chance! Start a conversation with them. You'll make another friend! Or maybe, you've never done something cool on the playground before, then you can do it now! Ooh, maybe you'd like to tell that special someone how you feel! In brief, do something out of the ordinary!
Get all your friends to write something memorable in your yearbook! I don't know if your school hands out yearbooks at the end of the year, but mine does. Although I have to pay $25 for it. It might be expensive, but it's worth it! Especially if you're moving and you won't see your friends, or it was one of the best school years you've ever had, it's definitely worth buying! Ask all your friends to write something in your yearbook, and also leave their phone number and email so that you can keep in touch during the summer! Get the courage and ask your special someone to write down a few words in your yearbook too and enjoy that amazing feeling! If people ask you to sign their yearbook, grab a pen that works and write nice things to them! Of course you don't have to write a paragraph in their yearbook (leave space for others who want to write in it too), but don't write like, 3 words in it. A few sentences should suffice! If you're close friends with that person, write a memory or an inside joke that you guys have so that you will never forget it! When I had my yearbook for grade 6, I had one of my classmates to sign my yearbook. He wrote an inside joke in it and we laughed. It was only 3 words though, but it still meant a lot. Then he wrote other stuff, but I especially liked the inside joke! It you're just acquaintances with that person, write general things to them like "Have a great summer!" or "See you next year!".
If you have a phone or camera, take pictures! Don't forget, a picture is worth a thousand words! Take pictures with your friends, classmates and even teachers! During the summer you can develop those photos and keep them somewhere safe for you to find a few years later and relive the memories! Send some photos to your friends too!
Bring a few treats for the class! On my last day of school tomorrow, my homeroom will have a little party with treats and tell one of our favorite memories we had this year! Bring cookies, or chips, or popcorn, or fruits, whatever you want!
And the last thing, that I think is the most important thing, is to savor the moment! When the bell rings, remember to personally say see you later to all your friends and teachers, and your school! And I'm saying see you later because saying goodbye sounds more sad, and see you later is more upbeat, even if it's still like saying goodbye. It's okay to be sad and cry! I mean, those people might be like your second family, and your second home, but still manage to break into a smile!
Make the best out of your last day of school!
Keep Smiling,

Summer Essentials 2014
Did you ever forget sunscreen? What about your cool sunglasses while it was super sunny outside? Here are some essentials that you should get out for the summer months to come!
Well, for me, I think the most important thing for summer is SUNSCREEN! I kind of have a thing with always slathering on sunscreen 24/7... It's not a problem, trust me -_-. Anyways, without it, well, first of all, you'll end up with a TERRIBLE SUNBURN. You'll be very red, and then you'll have skin peeling off and it'll hurt when you touch your skin! Well, that's what happens to me anyways. You have a big risk of skin cancer. For those who are scared of showing signs of aging, if you don't wear sunscreen, you'll look a lot more older. There are two kinds of sunscreen: chemical sunscreen and physical sunscreen. I'm not sure which is better, but physical sunscreen leaves you with a whiter shade, and chemical sunscreen doesn't. I use chemical sunscreen on my face and physical sunscreen on the rest of my body.
You should get really good sunglasses. The sun can be very dangerous to the eyes. It can cause you permanent eye damage. Investing in good sunglasses can really be helpful to you in the near future. I suggest choosing really good glasses instead of fashionable ones first. There might be one pair that you absolutely adore, but they don't work at all. Choose a pair that you think looks pretty cool but that work.
This is mostly to girls, but I guess boys can do it too. Use oil blotting sheets. During the summertime, it gets really really hot. And when it's hot, there's this "weird water" called sweat that seeps out of our skin. It makes us look shiny, greasy, dirty, stinky, it's all negative. Especially when it's on our face, it makes us feel super dirty! Oil blotting sheets come in handy because they absorb the excess oil from your face so your face doesn't look like fries can fry on it. Most packs of blotting sheets are small, convenient enough to store them in your purse, gym bag, backpack, wherever. Some of them have an ingredient that also helps you reduce acne. It's like a 2 in 1!
This also might be more for girls, but like I said, boys can help themselves with this. I hope that everyone uses this during summer, and it's DEODORANT. I swear, if you don't wear deodorant, there's a 98.9% that your B.O will take over and start repelling people from coming near you! There are different types of deodorants, but the one I would recommend is the antiperspirant one! It reduces sweating, even though it may leave stains on your shirts, but nothing a little lemon, bleach or baking soda can't fix, right? I also recommend a deodorant that has a nice scent to it. Carry a travel size deodorant wherever you go just in case you might... smell.
Water is also very very very important!! Without water you will become dehydrated and a bunch of bad things will happen! Always carry a water bottle with you! Because of the heat of the sun, it will get hotter and you'll sweat more. And because you sweat more, fluids get out of your body, therefore making you want and need more fluids in your system. Water is the best thing.
Those were just some summer essentials! If you have a summer essential you can't live without during those hot weeks, leave a comment on this post! I'd like to know! Have a great night!

Vacation for the Win!
Hello again!
For this post, I wanted to discuss about spending your vacation break!
Every student is always anticipating to walk out of school like a boss and start having fun during summer! Getting into those shorts, skirts, dresses, T-shirts, tank tops, flip flops; enjoying refreshing cold ice drinks and watermelon; relaxing under the sun, either tanning or slathering yourself with coconut scented sunscreen; not even caring for the two or next month to come, back to school. C'mon, we've all been there.
If you're going or doing somewhere during your break, please feel free to comment where and what you are going to do on this blog! If you're not doing anything special, like me, here are some things you can do just so that you don't die of boredom (I learned that the hard way (; ).
If you have any friends that are also not doing anything special for the summer, try to organize a good party for you guys to enjoy! Decorate your backyard into a theme you guys like! Prepare the food or help your parents prepare them, maybe like a BBQ or something! Plan out cool games you can do, or maybe pick out a movie for your friends to watch outside with a projector! Have a water gun fight to refresh yourselves! You can do anything that will be loads of fun and have your friends wanting more! If you do this often, this will probably be equivalent to one week of summer.
Go to the library or bookstore, and start your book hunting. If you feel like you just want to relax, grab a book and be entwined with the story you're reading. It's basically like a free get-away! Read the books you think you would like! Mystery, romance, non-fiction, fiction, sci-fi, anything you'd like, really. This could be equivalent to one week of summer.
Maybe if you have one of those lazy days, you'd prefer to just stay inside with the AC on full volume, and just play on your game consoles. But just remember that if you do that everyday and too often, it might affect your health. Once in a while will do.This can be equivalent to one week of summer.
Here's something that will make you busy for the next day or two. Or week or two, depending. Clean your room! If your room isn't that messy, try organizing it for the next school year! Throw out stuff that you think you don't need anymore. Donate the clothes that don't fit you anymore! Change your linens! Vacuum your room, dust it! In the end, your room will be sparkling! This will most probably take one week of summer.
Try to enroll at a summer camp for a week or two! Find one that you think fancies you. If your parents are alright with it, enroll! During camp you'll meet a lot of new friends that are interested in your interests too! It's a great way to meet new people, learn new things, and occupy yourself for the summer! This is usually one week of your summer.
Go outside! Get some vitamin D! Enjoy the sun while it lasts until the thick knits and mittens come in for fall. You can go to the park for a few hours. Walking your dog or other pet is another option. Help your dad with outside work like the garage, construction, etc... You can plant plants and food in your backyard too! Everyday, you can go out and water it! This might be equivalent to one week of your summer break.
If you have relatives coming over (mine are coming), spend some time with them. Hanging out and catching up on some things with them will be faster and more fun than you actually think. Go to fun sites around town. Play the tour guide while they're here. It might be fun for you! This could be one week of your summer.
Get ready to go back to school! Plan out the day you'll have to go to buy your school supplies. To make it seem more entertaining, you can maybe go with some of your friends, even if they don't go to the same school as you! Pick out supplies that you like and are durable for the next school year to come! You can go to the mall and buy new clothes for you to wear! Pick out outfits you think matches your personality and style them! Get your backpack, outfit and other back to school things ready one week before it actually starts. If you forget something, you have one week left to get them. Another thing you can do is wonder about types of lunches and snacks you can pack to school! Experiment them at home, just in case they don't turn out as good as you wanted them to be. Something filling, healthy and good will suffice. This will probably take one week of your summer to prepare.
If you count all of these ideas, it is equivalent to two months! It's equivalent to your summer break! If you do this, you'll surely won't be bored during your vacation break! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I hope it got you motivated to have a blast for your vacation! Have a great summer!

Hello World!
Hi, nice of you to stumble on M-L's Blog of Everything.
I am M-L, and I'm the writer of this blog that discusses about everyday things such as school, friends, family, or even just random topics that represent me and my interests. So in general, about life.
Before I start writing, I will tell you that I can be awkward and quirky in my writing. You may not understand my jokes. Heck, you might not even grasp on my sense of humour. I've been told that I have a particular sense of humour. I do try to add in jokes every time I see the chance. But do not let that be a reason to stop reading this blog.
Also, some of the subjects I will talk about on this blog might not be from past experiences but by my opinions on it and how it affects me, or how I would've dealt with it. I'm not sure if I will say it in that specific blog post if I had experienced a certain kind of event before or not but I will try to. It might be hidden somewhere in the paragraphs...
Anyways, hopefully this blog will make me a bit more sturdy in my own opinions. And I most certainly hope that you will relate to the topics I write on M-L's Blog of Everything. Please enjoy my happiness, quirkiness, possibly mourning, and my everyday thoughts on life, in general.
Keep Smiling,
M-L
